today announced that following the filing of the Company's 10-K report for the
fiscal year ended January 31, 2004 on May 27, 2004 and the hearing before the
Nasdaq Listing Qualifications Panel (the "Panel") also on May 27, 2004,
the Panel has decided to maintain Alloy's listing on The Nasdaq National Market
(the "Nasdaq"). In addition, the Panel has determined to remove the
"E" designation in Alloy's Nasdaq ticker symbol effective with the open
of business on Wednesday, June 9, 2004. While the Panel determined that the Company
has regained compliance with Nasdaq listing requirements following the filing
of its 10-K report, the Panel will continue to monitor the Company's compliance
with the requirements for continued listing on the Nasdaq through at least the
filing of its Form 10-Q for the quarter ended April 30, 2004.
