AS COO of Alloy, Inc., (www.alloyinc.com) (nasdaq: ALOY), a leading media, marketing services, and direct marketing company targeting the "Millennial" market, Jim Johnson guides the strategic development of the company's direct marketing business as well as the sales and marketing efforts of its college and publishing properties. Jim also oversees the development of Alloy's technology division.
Along with CEO, Matthew Diamond, Jim Johnson founded Alloy in January 1997 to tap into the enormous spending power of the "Millennial" market, a population now estimated to include more than 70 million boys and girls between the ages of 10 - 24, responsible for an estimated $400 billion in annual spending. Jim was appointed President of Alloy in 1997 and Chief Operating Officer in January 1999. Prior to Alloy, he held a variety of financial, operations and business development positions with the General Electric Company. Jim received his B.A. in History from Hamilton College in 1989.
